It may have been in the
middle of the town,
but the sites were well tucked away quite far off the main road with most being easy to pull in & drive out of. We watched the fireworks from our site & didn't have a single problem seeing them at all. |

Along one side of the
sites was a large field with 2 horses, one
horse was very friendly.
The two kids in front of our sprog, were the children of a nice couple we met who coincidentally live about 10 minutes away from us. The boy is only about 5 mo older than sprog. |
DH couldn't figure out how to hook up the Awning, so he used ropes. The mom of the couple we met showed me how theirs worked, so when we got home, we tried it out & it worked! Next time there will be no excuse not to set up the awning. |

This

We
drove up to Neah Bay to go to Makah days. I had some fry bread (first time) and we walked through town. It was a nice day, and the people were nice, but i'm sure all the Local Indians were looking at us "whities" & wondering why we were there LOL (this was a very small town). We went to the Makah Museum and drove by a family friends house who is the town doctor, but he wasn't home. Visiting him was actually an afterthought. DH snapped this pic of the flags. Kinda interesting. (FYI, It was the 4th of July) |
On the way back to camp, we stopped by this house selling birdie houses. I bought 2 for myself & one for a gift. |
