Manchester State Park, Washington
Our 6th camping trip, Laborday Weekend (3rd for 2005)

Pros: Nicely wooded campsites, partially secluded.
Showers & Toilets in close proximity.
Some sites have hookups

Cons: We didn't get a site with a hookup.

We left early late afternoon on Sunday.
Our propane ran out due to a slow leak, the rain really started to come down,
and found out later that it got REALLY cold Sunday evening.

All Set up.

The shelving unit ended up
the perfect size for grocery bags.
This pic doesn't show it, but I found out later
that if I turned the bags 1/4 degree,
they fit *perfectly* on the shelves.
I didn't plan it that way, but it's a bonus!

Here's who I shall call "Skanky TV Woman"
She spent the entire afternoon in her car, smoking cigs,
watching a "foul language" gangster-type movie (loudly)
on a small protable DVD player, and ignoring her very loud children.

This is what I shall call my "Seinfeld Moment"
While I was watching her in the pup, marveling over the situation
and taking my pic (through the window screen) her husband was watching me.
(I didn't see him, but overheard him telling her that later)

Was I embarassed?
Yes.
Did I care?
No.

We like to do "outdoor" activities
when we go camping. (go figure)

Here we see our boychild
learning to ride his first bike

Learning is the key word here.

On day 2 we went out to the beach to eat lunch
and play in the sand.

Lunch was good, but the sand was very rocky.
That's OK though.

The bunkers were cool!

They had a chainlink fence around this one.  :-(
The Views were Beautiful

But the beach (hot seaweed) was kinda stinky

Sprogboy at age 3.25
was a challenge
but had fun nonetheless.

The Goggles were a new toy
that we called Sportacus (or Hero) Goggles.

I always get something new (but cheap)
for him to play with on camping trips.
These were on clearance for $1 at Walmart.
